ABOUT
Accessibility
Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, the conference venue for iPRES 2025, has been designed and built to be accessible for everyone. You can view an interactive floorplan of the facility here.
Wheelchair access
The facility has access ramps at both main entrances. Inside the building there are lifts to all areas, accessible toilets on all floors, and a parents' room on Level One.
All meeting spaces are designed for easy access with ample circulation space around entranceways.
Assisted hearing
Hearing assistance augmentation is available throughout the venue. Listeners can select channel and volume level once their personal device is connected to the wifi network.
The WaveCAST App is used to listen to streaming live audio from Williams AV audio products.
Mobility parking
Five accessible car spaces are available near to the ground-floor entrance of nearby Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. Two are uncovered and three are covered.
Attendee Experience
iPRES 2025 will include both in-person and online participation. We endeavor to provide a programme which caters for participants across time-zones, supports first time attendees, and offers discussion spaces for language communities.
iPRES 2025 will use EventsAir as its conference platform.
EventsAir Accessibility Statement
The EventsAir platform includes the ability for closed captions in English for online sessions.
Communication
iPRES 2025 will engage different groups within the digital preservation community, to ensure communications are directed appropriately.
Dietary Considerations
iPRES 2025 will cater for attendee dietary requirements as needed. Information about dietary requirements will be sought at the time of registration.
