Call to Community Recap – Your Programme Thoughts and Ideas

The comment box at iPRES 2024 where conference attendees could send thoughts and ideas for iPRES 2044!
The time capsule in Ghent with messages for iPRES 2044.

Ngā mihi nui - a massive thank you to everyone who participated in one or more of the online Call to Community brainstorming workshops in December and January. We really value your ideas and insights. Special thanks as well to the DPC team and our session facilitators!

The Call to Community sessions asked questions on a variety of topics, including Programme, In-Person attendance, Virtual attendance, First-time attendance, Professional Visits, Accessibility, Sustainability, Languages, and Travel considerations. One of the Programme-related questions we asked was What kinds of digital preservation topics/subjects would be most of interest to you, or are currently on your mind? And unsurprisingly, the iPRES community had lots to say!

So if you’re looking for submission ideas, take a look at some of the programme topics that Call to Community participants said they would like to hear about at iPRES 2025:
